Ivorypaw-
She thought about the question. She knew this, but couldnt quite put her paw on it.Then she perked up,Bright confident eyes showing."I know now! It's watermint and chervil!"She replied cheerfully,"Sorry it took me awhile."She pranced the way there with her mentor by her side. The little she-cat was confident in her progress. She tried to do all she could to please her mentor.Ivorypaw slowed down to a normal pace, her confidence fading away like the leaves in leaf-fall.She looked at her mentor with smoky eyes,"Do you think i'm good enough to be a medicine cat?"Asked the apprentice. She thought of how good Nightwind was with the wounded. It was almost like her healing was magic, and she hoped she could be that good someday.

Nightwind Their pace slowed down to a slow trot, the fresh buzzing scents of unpicked herbs lacing themselves into her glands; large nests created massive shadows and loomed over the twosome, white fences barricading intruders, keeping the house dwellers safe inside. Chops were turned upright into a proud smirk, the quizzed question answered correctly without any flaws.
“Well done Ivorypaw! That is correct!”
Her gaze softened, tail tip resting softly on the young femme’s shoulder reassuringly. She could understand how the young apprentice felt, constantly wondering if one would be fit enough to take the role of medicine cat. Even she from time to time had similar feelings of doubt, but no one could really fix it.
“Of course you are, and you will one day be even better Than I. You can be sure of that. Now, tell me three herbs that can help with open wounds.”[/blockquote]

Ivorypaw tried to answer this question as well as the other. She thought for a moment and came up with answers,"It would be goldenrod,Marigold, and i think...comfrey?"She thought the last answer was wrong, but if it was she will learn. She still has much more to learn about. And she felt more confidence now because of her mentors words."Thank you Nightwind. What was it like when you were a medicine cat apprentice?"She asked.

Nightwind Nightwind tested the air, sweet smells of catnip entering her glands, as well as the stale stench of two legs, but this time no dog or kittypet. But again another scent left the black femme puzzled, the new yet oddly familiar aroma once more to well hidden and untraceable. Violet oculars flicked up and down the mesh, medium sized holes exposing open areas. Like last time the scent was discarded, strong back bones lifting her up to the fence’s skinny top.“Yes that is correct again! Comfrey can also be used to mend broken bones.” The cool dark grass below looked as if it would have an odd touch to it, just as the previous garden had. It’s feeling had been different than that of forest grass back at home; each step paw had been flicked, adjusting to the spiky stalks. Before leaping down she pondered Ivorypaw’s ventured question, something she would have usually been reluctant to talk about.“Well it was hard. I basically had to teach myself, well Silverclan helped me of course through my dreams, but there was only so much they could teach me. The previous medicine cat had died, probably just before I arrived in Darkclan…I…maybe I shouldn’t be telling you this…you might…hate me.” The onyx pelted femme looked away, hues constantly darting away from the apprentice’s sight. It had been hard then, many sorrows that she longed for to be forgotten, though in this world such was not the case.[/blockquote]

Ivorypaw knew that this was her mentor and she loved her like kin,but she would never hate her."You know i would not hate you.So...can you tell me?Please trust me."There had been times when Nightwind didn't trust her,and Ivorypaw did not apprechiate that, but she still cared for her mentor dearly.
Ivorypaw smelled the scent also, and stopped dead in her tracks.Because of her expireince last time, she did not like coming here. She was frozen, not a muscle moving. All the sudden,She felt a powerfull force slam into her face. Her head twisted to the left and then her body flew up in the air and twisted left also. Her nose was bleeding and her paw felt pretty bad to where she could not walk on it.She was still, but she was breathing short and fast.

Nightwind The medicine cat femme eyed her apprentice softly, though her heart twisted within her gut. She knew that Ivorypaw could be trusted, but words were only words, one could never know what effect they would have on others. There wasn’t going to be any hanging back as of now, the apprentice already to sucked in by the powerful lyrics of her depressing life story. So instead she closed her oculars, and began turning back, telling the story that had brought to much misery to her and others.
“When I was very young, I never knew my parents, or their love. I was a rogue back then, and the only one who really cared for me was Lush…if what he did was really considered to be caring. He turned me into a monster, a thing that killed without a seconds thought, and I suppose we both loved each other, in a sick minded way. Lush manipulated and used me to his liking, until he pushed me to far into the corner and I ran away.”
“After that I had fallen upon Darkclan, when Moonclan and Starclan still existed. Silverleaf was the leader then, and she accepted me into her clan. I wanted to mend my ways, I wanted to redeem myself and the sins I had committed. So I became their medicine cat, having to teach myself and cherish the little help I got from Silverclan.”
“When I fully understood everything there was to the art of being a medicine cat, Silverleaf became pregnant, having had a forbidden love with a Nightlcan deputy by the name of Tigerwhisker who died in a border fight. She asked me to help bring her kits into this world, and though I doubted myself hundreds of times I was able to help in the end.”
“Thus Cheeathwind, Breezeecho, and Bramblestrike were born. That was then when I received a dark prophecy from Silverclan, concerning Silverleaf’s kits. Turning my back onto the ancestors I sided with Dark Silverclan.”
“Then there was the day when Silverice, Nightclan’s previous leader, and I came to take the kits away. Cheetahwind and Breezeecho accepted right away, but Bramblestrike refused to become evil. She was the light and we all knew it. I betrayed my former clan and became a Nightclanner along with Cheetahwind and Breezeecho. After that constant battles swarmed until it was settled with a war that ended as a tie.”
“After that Moonclan died of disease and Starclan had been massacred by Cheetahwind. Everyone found mates, had kits…Cheetahwind killed Silverleaf, leaving leadership in Bramblestrike’s paws who is now Silverstrike. Silverice died and Moonclaw took up leadership. My former apprentice from Darkclan is now a warrior named Mockingpelt, he is Silverstrike’s mate…and I feel sick because I abandoned him when I left for Nightlclan, and he no longer wished to continue being a medicine cat because I left him.” Watered oculars opened to a fighting apprentice and a rugged looking Rogue. She stared in ridged shock, realizing that she knew this brute, wishing for so long that it wasn’t him. There was nothing she could do but stare in horror as he brutally beat her beloved apprentice. “Sensei?”[/blockquote]

She became contious again and saw Nightwind leaning over her."Wha...what happened to me?"She asked looking at her twisted paw and feeling her nose throb with pain. She tried to stand but kept collapsing n pain once she put weight on her injured paw."Nightwind, please help me!"She moaned. She lie back down onto the spiky grass in discomfort. She started heaving big heavy breaths and slammed her head down closing her eyes tightly in pure pain.

Nightwind The massive dark tom gave the motionless femme a seductive smile, his entrancing visuals looking her up and down, checking out her body and the interact curves and lines. Puckering his lips, the rag tag tom blew her a kiss, a snarling cackle, low and mocking catching in his throat, before bounding away into the tangled undergrowth. He acted like Lush, everything about him seemed to match the brute that for so long had haunted her dreams, but he wasn’t him. The colour of his pelt was all wrong, including the eye shade, though they held the same forcing stare that whispered evil.
Released from her frozen self, Nightwind blinked twice, instinctively collecting a soothing purr when her dear apprentice cried out please; pattering to her crippled side, the onyx pelted feline searched her body with grief stricken hues. She couldn’t move the poor thing without causing extreme pain and damage, but she would not leave Ivorypaw alone with that dirty pervert of a rogue still lingering out in the forest.
“Ivorypaw, I’m going to carry you back on a pulley, but it will hurt if you’ve broken bones in certain areas. While I take you back to camp, tell me the herbs that mend broken bones, a poultice would be good if there is anything else bothering you.” Not straying far from the young femme, the onyx pelted creature lingered toward a brush, pulling off a large leaf or two, the area always plenty with the oversized plants. Snapping up two maw fulls of vines that grew around the base of an oak, and breaking apart a large stick, she crafted a make shift sled pulley. Gently gathering the broken body of her apprentice, Nightwind slipped her smaller rack onto the soft leaves, supported underneath and around by the stick limbs. Tying down her body securely with the vines, canines clamped the end wrapped stick, grasping onto the ends of the sturdy vine ends for extra leverage. Now she began to pull, slowly and caringly, hoping that her quiz would keep Ivorypaw occupied from any pain.[/blockquote]

The young cat was dragged along the grass carefully by her mentor. Her nose was felling a bit better but her paw still had a painfull and unbearable throb. She lifted her head up and looked around at her mentor. She gave out a scrachy purr of thanks and lay her head back down trying to think of what healed broken bones.

Nightwind The rough surface of her tongue licked the dry sore gums, small splintered shavings piercing the pink delicate flesh red and raw. Was it crime now to be with the ones she loved most, always playing at the back of mind, chocking on the whispered song that attracted those that were evil and would hurt. The rogue, his hungry dark oculars lustred for the meat of childish innocence, and would never cease until her bones were picked white.
Almost unnoticeable was the bustling murmur of clan life, the feline bodies swimming past her like ghostly images never glanced once at the pulley carrying an injured apprentice. The suffering which continued to bite into her sores and skin pained ever more, the dark gray cloud hanging over her head always there and raining.
Lips pulled back into a gentle grimace, exhaling a soft groan when the mechanism could finally be put down, dropping the heavy burden with care. The dim glow of her medicine den seemed fitting, as those were the only things that filled her brain and soul. Muttering a soothing purr, Nightwind ventured into the back of her den to find herbal remedies for her broken apprentice.
“It’s going to be ok Ivorypaw, just lay still while I get some herbs for your injures.”[/blockquote]
