Pinefrost lay next to the riverbed. Listening to the eternal rhythmus beat of the delicate flowing water. She could barely see a few fox-lengths ahead of her. The other side of the river was evaporated in the rolling mist. Extra foggy today, the grey femme thought to herself as she hooked another fish out. Placing her catch down gently with her other two fish, Pinefrost glared at the pile she collected. Easily she could feast on one of the fish right now and return the last two to camp, but she was craving for an avian meal. Pinefrost sighed exhaustingly. Gazing back at the prey she assembled, she lifted the smallest fish that was worth a couple of meager bites. Delicately, Pinefrost shredded the fish until only the meat was lying in a heap. After she buried the remains, she gathered the fish meat and laid it down off farther down the river and waited. Before long, she heard the flutter of wings.
Soundlessly, Pinefrost neared toward the birds. A flock of black birds pecked and clawed at each other for the meat. She scanned each avian carefully until she spotted the largest one. Bingo! She thought as she leapt on top of the largest raven and gave it a swift kill. At that moment, the other ravens and crows cried out warning call as they darted up to the sky. This was a trick her mother taught her when she was an apprentice; using meat to lure other prey to a trap. Of course, it worked better with a couple of other warriors to catch more than one bird.
Slitting the wings and feathers off, Pinefrost feasted into the bird. When she was done, she gazed disappointedly down at her paws. Just like my father. A thief. As she has done countless of times, she buried the remains of her catch and the fish perfectly into the earth. It looked like nothing ever happened and the damp mist cleared off any evidence such as scent.
Pinefrost journeyed over to her remaining fish. Lazily, she lay back down next to riverbed, gazing absentmindedly out to the water.

((hello newcomer! I is your leader here, so welcome welcome! You post really good.)) Silverspirit noticed Pinefrost sitting by the river as he was stalking a squirrel. With the swift bite that the furball never saw coming, Silverspirit chomped down and ate fast. He didn't have to worry.
Slowly the leader walked up to the pretty she-cat. "Hello, there!" he murmured as he settled down and sniffed slightly. "You smell like fresh-kill. Makes a tom want to eat you up!" he joked slightly.

//thanks. ^^\\
Pinefrost ears pricked at she heard paw-steps approaching her. A scent waved in front of her, telling her it was friend. Gradually turning her head, she peered over her shoulder to see her leader nearing toward her. Respectfully, she dips her head. Evening, Silverspirit. She casually ascends to a sitting position and coils her tail around her legs.

((lol-I see something going here! I'll PM you in a second)) "No need to be so respectful when we talk as friends. Please, just call me Spirit, that would be nice." The rugged tome looked appraisingly at the she-cat. "You have become a grand hunter lately, to have hidden scents so well. Did you recently hunt, or wearing perfume?" he joked again.

Very well, Spirit. Pinefrost meowed. And I just hunted. She waved her tail over to the two fish lying limp a half of a fox-length away from her.

Mysterykit _They blinked, a dashing hue of sparkled green lingered in the air, piercing the dim gray fog with a sharp intensity. Bobbing with a hypnotic trance, they shut, disappearing for only a mere second before repapering in a snarling flame of deep twisted colours. Closer now, the thick cloth of fog slowly parted away from a small shapely body, her pallet of white fur moulding together with her surroundings exceptionally. Like copied lanterns, circular disks of charcoal black swayed in the mass of bleached white, lost trinkets of the sea attached to a stark sea of plumage. Noise? No, there was none to be heard; steps taken expertly, only when the ripple of sloshing waves lapped at the sandy edge, smooth stones clacking as they ran to escape the hungry hold. A line of brittle brown created a shadow within the dome of gray, a small skull lifted abruptly as the noise was detected, vaguely could one see the creature’s whiskers twitch and rounded ears flick. A hollow thump sounded, a miniature tsunami of dirt waves splurging forth, derbies flung in every direction as the body was lifted into the air, the white shadow descending with a small paper leaf triumphantly pinned down with tiny talons.
_Discarding the caught item, no longer interested in dead prey, the tiny female kit trekked onward through the misted strip of forest. Again, something worth catching her attention caused the little kit to turn her green gaze onto a looming figure, unmoving as it was a log that once belonged to part of a magnificent tree. Though it wasn’t this that tweaked her interest, it was rather the light chirping noise that quickened her heart beat to a fast set drum. A much smaller form sat upon the withering bark, black bulging eyes barely blinking as it rubbed long thin legs together to produce a chirping song. Stomach already brushing the ground, chin lifted as hunches waved simultaneously to the melody of the cricket. One push gave the kit an advantage start, her visuals accustomed to the dim fog as she could clearly see the bug, now turning its small head as it produced a sharp click before bouncing out of reach.
_Genuinely shocked, she skittered to a stop, tiny talons digging deep into the soft bark flesh, cranium spinning in every possible direction as she searched for her escaped prey. Almost instantly did she spot the petit insect, hopping rapidly as it fled from its pursuer, who had given a pleasurable growl before launching into the chase. Daintily skipping, the cricket broke through the encasement of fog, rushing water bubbling forth as is echoed in the kit’s ears. Claws outstretched, she gave a final leap before plunging the deadly weapons into insect flesh, a wavering chirp the signal of defeat. Overjoyed, she pushed her small rack into the air, giving a trill of ecstatic high pitched yowls. “Yes! I gotted you stupid bug!! Oh!?” Cut short from her enjoyment, Mysterykit realized that she was no longer alone, in fact in the presence of Faintclan’s leader and one of their warriors.

Pinefrost gradually turned her gaze toward the tiny white kit tumbled in after a bug. At first, she stared at the little kit with an emotionless glance. Then her eyes softened, reflecting a fraction amount of amusement. Then the glitter and emotion disappeared as she grew serious once more. What are you doing all the way out here without supervision? inquired Pinefrost in a calm voice.

Mysterykit _Mysterykit's physique stiffened under the faint warrior's serious edged tone, the question being swallowed up only moment's after spoken, though she had still been able to hear them. Gazing meekly at her petite paws, the tiny kit dabbed thoughtfully at the dead cricket carcass, staring toward it intently as if she were thinking about eating it. The small entity crunched satisfyingly under the little weight she could produce, but of course a simple bug was not even a match for a kitten who weighed more by far. Delighted, the white mass of fur crouched down, neck twisting toward the upturned cricket, who's tiny legs splayed about in a mangled mess.
_Before a single bite could be taken from the fleshy insect, Mysterykit bounced upright, remembering that she had been faced with a question. Blinking twice, she tilted her skull to one side, gazing thoughtfully with what appeared to be nothing but blank space. Almost completely still, except for the lack of solidity in her quivering black spots, she spoke in a light trilled tone. "I'm looking for....my mother and father. They are from Nightclan, I'm sure of that because I keep dreaming of faceless cats who live in that scary place....they smell nice...but I don't know how to get there." She concluded with a slight twitch from her tail, bringing a beaming white face to stare contently are leader and warrior.

“They are from NightClan…” NightClan… NightClan… those treacherous words echoed through the warrior’s head. Just then, memories began to project… Her father and noble mother… her brothers’ death… the two clans claiming her… her mother’s last moments…
Old scars that her father gave her seemed to gently blink with pain as Pinefrost let herself walk in those horrible times of her previous past. Her grey eyes clouded as her face was perfectly emotionless once more. She almost completely forgot that her leader and a kit were right next to her.
