[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]I can't escape this hell
So many times I've tried
But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
Shallow breezed through the night, and wandered up to the star filled lake. He would never admit it, but this was the only place this lonesome cat could grieve freeely. No other cat ever seemed to come here anymore, and he was ready to just jump in. No one would realize he was gone until Cheetahwind was leader. Shallow sighed.
You still think of him... Shallow thought to himself. It had been a long time since his split-personality, Heart, had spoken. Shallow hoped him to be gone.
His chest heaved a sigh again as he thought of his brother, who was now gone from this world. He couldn't remember ever seeing his brother from before the wolves. Shallow had moved from DarkClan before Rividwinter had been born, and he couldn't even remember meeting his little brother as a kit. He had always been jealous of how Rividwinter had stolen his glory, all saint-like and believing in "StarClan." I thought it was SilverClan! What was wrong with my brother...
I can't control myself
luck and intuition play
the cards with spades to start,
and after she's been hooked
i'll play the one that's on her heart
Sightless eyes stared ahead as his touch and hearing did the rest. His phantom form padded across the ground as he reached the edge of a clearing. Very distincly and easily Dovefire could hear the sighs of the crazed deputy, Shallowheart. He didn't particularily like this tom, but respected him for all that he had done to gain his position.
Without making any sound, his form placed itself into the position of stalking a mouse. He reached all the way to Shallowheart's back, an with a battle cry, launched himself at the deputy...
poker face
can't read my poker face
Shallow turned at the cry, only to fall back and squirm helplessly. It was Dovefire, the deranged new tom of the Clan. He had met the warrior once before, and had taken an immediate dislike to the tome.
A hiss raked out of his lungs as he tried to summon up all that he had learned, but it was impossible. He may have been the larger cat, but the younger warrior was more skilled and kept him down. Shallow could feel the breath leaving his body as Dovefire's fangs caught Shallow's throat. Blood spurted out of his mouth.
"Forgive me..."
Dovefire relaxed as he tasted the life-energy that seeped out of Shallow's body. It was so good to drink it, and he could feel the deputy's life flood into his own. He felt invincible.
And with imaginary wings soaring out of his body, Dovefire ran back to the camp.
((this is a conflict with only Dovefire and Shallowheart. Nobody else post here please))
