Her eyes strained to see any light that might give away an exit. Her ears quivered, listening for a sound, any sound besides Ivykit's and her own paw steps. Her head, which she had once held high, hung so low it felt like it was dragging on the floor of the tunnel. She had continued on for hours and if she could have seen the sun, it would have been dipping below the horizon. An hour before thoughts had been racing through her head. Such a stupid situation to get myself into just because I wanted to prove a point. Stupid, stupid, STUPID! But now she just concentrated on breathing, trying to hold back the nausea which was the result of dehydration. He stomach was also cramping in hunger pains, though it wasn't as bad as the pain in her paws or at the back of her throat.
Finally, she couldn't go on any more. Her legs were cramping and her head felt like claws were peircing it. Redkit cloapsed on her side beside an oddly shapd rock. She couldn't have known it but that rock was the skull of a miner who had never made it out.

Although nothing on her face hinted it, Ivykit was in a state of panic. It had been stupid for Redkit to come into these tunnels but foolish for her to follow as well. I just wanted to keep Redkit safe she tried to convince herself but she knew it wasn't true. Ivykit had wanted to prove herself just as much as Redkit did, although she would never admit it, not even to herself. And now she was stuck in these tunnels, with peircing headaches and tingling limbs, also suffering from dehydration more than exhaustion.
She watched Redkit clapse in front of here, almost too tired to care. In fact, she was too tired to think. Wouldn't it be better if I could just let it all go? Just forget the pain and sorrow, join StarClan without a care? If anyone had been in the tunnel, the smile that spread across Ivykit's face would have sent chills down their back. Partially because she look at the point of insainity, and partially because it was probaly the first time Ivykit had showed emotion.
She was unconcious before she hit the floor.
